The Lake Erie Nature & Science Center in Bay Village teaches the wonders of wildlife through live animal exhibits, wildlife education programs, and animal rehibilitation. The Nature & Science Center has both outdoor and indoor display areas for public visitors to view both local wildlife and exotic/domestic animals. They have a beautiful red fox, magnificent bald eagle, 9-foot boa constrictor and many other creatures available for visitation during Center hours which are Monday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Lake Erie Nature & Science Center also offers hands-on interactive classes.  A host of fun and fascinating programs connect children and adults to the wonders of the natural world.

While at the Nature & Science Center don’t forget to check out the Walter R. Schuele Planetarium. Professional planetarium technology and staff support an atmosphere of learning and exploring-under the stars. The Planetarium makes cutting edge space science fun for all ages… from the little toddler attending Twinkle Tots… to the curious student attending a planetarium field trip or rocket camp… to the life-long learner peering through a telescope at one of our intergenerational star parties.

  • We love the Lake Erie Nature & Science Center. It’s a wonderful place to go in the middle of winter to escape the cold and visit the animals. Almost every time we’ve been there a volunteer has been available to introduce us to an animal and to let the kids touch it. Very neat!
