Cabin John Regional Park provides a 528-acre refuge in the center of one of the busiest parts of Montgomery County. The park provides a wide variety of recreational opportunities. The athletic area includes softball and soccer fields, tennis courts, and handball. There are six indoor tennis courts open year round.

The Cabin John Ice Rink offers an assortment of programs including lessons and rental times. Sessions are available for the general public, adults only and family time. Rental skates and a snack bar are located within the facility.

The Locust Grove Nature Center offers environmental education programs, trail walks, nature films, conservation projects, workshops and interpretive exhibits.

Our group picnic and playground areas offer shelters, tables, drinking fountains, grills, restrooms, and playground equipment including ActionPlayland are available to the public. A snack bar is open on weekends and holidays from late spring through Labor Day. Both children and adults enjoy a ride on the miniature train. A replica of an 1863 C.P. Huntington engine with five passenger cars carries visitors on a ten-minute, two mile ride through the Park.
