Christian Street YMCA

The Christian Street branch has a heated indoor pool that’s six lanes wide and 25 yards long, ranging from three-and-a-half to eight-and-a-half feet deep. Swimming lessons are available for adults and children ages six months and up. A variety of sports teams and classes are available the Y for kids ages three and up, as well as Youth Yoga for ages four and up. The Y also offers a summer day camp and a before and after school program that is held from 7am until school starts and after school until 6pm, Monday through Friday. Transportation is available to and from many area schools. The program includes a snack, homework help, arts and crafts, swimming, and other recreational activities.Saturday Fun Club, offered on Saturdays from 10am-1pm, includes opportunities for children to make crafts, swim, play sports, and participate in other skill building activities. Membership is not required. The program costs $2 per day or $5 per month.Y Achievers, a program for middle school and high school students, focuses on career counsling, learning about and leadership and citizenship skills, and offers free SAT/ACT prep, help applying to high schools and colleges, and field trips. The program runs during the school year. Membership is free for active participants.
