Admission is $5 ($6 weekends) for Leesburg residents, $9 ($10 weekends) for non-residents. Season passes are available.

The $7 million center resembles a commercial water park more than a community pool and has sections designed for various age groups. The baby pool is surrounded by a shaded seating area where parents can watch their little ones play. Another area of the pool, intended for school-age children, is about three feet deep and decorated with plastic lily pads and a cargo net. The deepest end is for teenagers and includes a slide that sits about 20 inches above the water, creating a big drop at the end of the ride.

The Av Symington Aquatic Center was extremely disappointing! You have no hopes of swimming because of the screaming child in every direction, and you wouldn’t want to swim there anyway. the water is freezing and very dirty. It tastes salty and has much dirt, grass, and other unwanted items in it. If you want to go on one of the rides, be prepared to wait awhile. The one good thing I can say, is that there are attentive lifeguards everywhere, eyeing the many swimmers. This is nowhere near a relaxing or fun swim!
