Free Helicopter Rides
Give your kids the ride of their lives! Free helicopter rides for kids ages 7-17. Any child (or group of children) may enjoy a ride in a helicopter at no cost. Founder Rick Rahim generously provides the aircraft and fuel out of his own pocket. The smiles and excitement of the children he flies are Rick’s sole reward.

All participants must have written permission from their legal guardian. The minimum group size is 10 children. Rides usually depart from Leesburg Airport. At the end of the ride, participants will receive a certificate commemorating their flight. Photo opportunities with the pilot and aircraft will also be available the day of flight.

THIS MAN IS AMAZING!!! THS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY!
I had my group actually fly with this gentleman today. The kids had a BLAST! It was very informative and enlightening. The Young Eagles, the organization he represents achieved what they wanted with making an impression on the children. All the kids in my group want to fly now and know more about aviation. Mr. Rahim, was very professional and nice.
The comment above….well, based on the info. I learned about Mr. Rahim, is that he is VERY busy man. He has no interest in wasting time. This flight is not for entertainment purposes such as a “birthday party” but to make an impression on kids to learn to fly – not “wow! Bobby Jo arranged to get us a helicopter ride for his birthday party” – it’s more like “The EAA Young Eagles has taught me a lot about aviation and flying. This is something I want to learn more about and check out their scholarships and perhaps do what Rick, is doing by giving back to my community.” Rick is not interested in mindless chatter, etc.. if you check out his website businessventures.com, you will see he is wearing many hats. The person above must of been VERY pushy. You can’t be that way plus it was for the wrong reason. I have to say I would be pissed as well. I myself am a business owner and can see why Mr. Rahim, wouldn’t want anything to do with this person above.
For Mr. Rahim, to take the time to do is is amazing. I want to thank him for making this part of the most memorable summer of their lives! Thank you EAA Young Eagles! Your organization is just want our kids need to learn about aviation, etc….
DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN RIDE WITH THIS MAN!!!!
I called to book my 8 year old’s birthday party with his company and asked about the helicopter rides. The reservation agent gave me his email address and said that he deals with those directly. I emailed him with the date of my party and asked if he could accommodate. He said no. Okay, no problem. I then called to get a schedule of when the flights were offered. The next thing I know, Mr. Rick Rahim, the owner of the company is on the other end of the phone screaming at me, calling me the “pushiest parent he’s ever seen.” He said that I thought the world revolved around me because I could take no for an answer. I tried to interrupt him to tell him that I was only calling for a schedule. Maybe someone peed in his cheerios this morning, but as angry as he was, I would NEVER let my child get near this man, let alone trust him with my child’s life.
